SPCA Memories – Jim Buckley
I was Chairman of the Ndola SPCA in the early 1980s. Fellow committee members at the time were Bill and Jean Curry (Bill was Deputy Head at Nsansa School) Les and Mildred Clark (Les was lecturer at Nortec) also a grand German guy called Kurt whose last name I’ve forgotten. Our Kennel Manager was Frank Medd who was the N Rhodesia/ Zambia hangman!
I remember we had a fundraiser Premier showing of the film Evita Peron starring Faye Dunaway at the then “new” cinema on President Avenue in 1981.
